This salted maple cinnamon granola is the perfect combination of flavors. The sweetness from the brown sugar and maple syrup is balanced by the saltiness of nuts and pumpkin seeds. It is the perfect addition to a bowl of yogurt with a drizzle of raw honey.

Making your own granola is such a quick and easy pantry staple to keep on hand for a snack or breakfast. You can simply eat it by the handfuls, pour over some milk, or my favorite, over some yogurt with honey!

Why You’ll Love This Salted Maple Cinnamon Granola

Easy- This recipe is so easy you don’t really have to put much thought in while making it. You just measure your granola ingredients, mix, bake, and you have a delicious bowl of granola.

Forgiving- Lots of recipes have science behind them which makes them something that has to be given all your attention. Homemade granola can be made with what you have on hand and still turn out. If you are running short on an ingredient just do more of something else. You could even add in something else as a replacement. Its really hard to mess up this recipe.

Versatile- You may not be a huge fan of something specific in this recipe or not have it in your pantry. There are so many things you could trade out and switch for something different. Instead of pumpkin seeds try another seed, do double the nuts, dried fruit, or honey instead of maple syrup. It will all come out delicious!

Ingredients

Maple Syrup- Preferably real maple syrup! We love using the Kirkland brand organic maple syrup from Costco. You could also swap it out for honey. It would lose the maple flavoring but would still be delicious!

Slivered Almonds- I love a toasted slivered almond in my granola. However, I have also made this with pecans and walnuts and both are super tasty too!

Coconut Oil- The coconut oil is merely a binder for the granola. It will not cause the granola to taste like coconut.

Pumpkin Seeds- I love the addition of pumpkin seeds to this recipe. You could also use sunflower seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds, etc. I always grab the bag of pumpkin seeds from Costco that are salted. It helps add the perfect saltiness to this granola.

The rest of the ingredients and their exact measurements are below in the recipe card.

Tips

  • You can change up the flavor of this granola easily with different spices. Add in some pumpkins spice to pair with the pumpkin seeds. Or add in some nutmeg to give a deeper flavor that would go great with the maple syrup.
  • Don’t leave the salt out of this granola. It’s called salted maple cinnamon granola for a reason. The salt balances all the other flavors perfectly!
  • Do not over bake this. You don’t want it to have a burnt flavor. Be sure you watch it carefully after 25 minutes.
