Oreo Balls
Oreo balls, also known as Oreo truffles, are one of life’s greatest gifts. They are the simplest no bake treat to have especially around Christmas time.

I remember the first time I had Oreo balls. This was back when cake pops were becoming a trend as well. So I bit into one expecting a cake pop and got a burst of ooey gooey, rich, fudgy burst of flavor. I was so confused as to what I had just eaten but couldn’t stop myself from having another (or maybe 10). Since this moment we have made Oreo balls every Christmas as a special treat. I honestly cant make them other than once a year because I have absolutely not self control around them.
It blows my mind that these are only 3 ingredients and no bake. The great thing is you don’t even have to be a baker to make these easy truffles. For this recipe you only need a food processor, package of Oreos, block of cream cheese and blend together. You can add a splash of vanilla if you want but I don’t think it needs it.
The hardest part for me if dipping these in white chocolate without it looking like a child did them. That is my one downfall as a baker and I don’t think any amount of practice will fix it. My sister on the other hand does a great job at decorating her Oreo balls. Needless to say I had to use her photo on this blog post because mine wasn’t up to par. But it doesn’t matter how these look when your done dipping them because the taste will be incredible no matter what.
Tools Needed
- Food Processor
- 1 tbsp cookie scoop
- Cookie Sheet
- Parchment Paper
- Double Boiler or microwave safe bowl
Tips and Tricks
- You can use any chocolate to coat your Oreo balls. I prefer white chocolate or almond bark but you could easily use semi sweet chocolate instead. It is also cute to dip into white chocolate and once set drizzle with some semi sweet chocolate.
- Freeze them! I always make these at Christmas but we all know how busy that time of year can be. So usually in November I will go ahead and make a large batch of these truffles and freeze them. They will keep in the freezer for a couple months. This works out great and saves me so much time. Anytime I need a quick party treat or homemade gift I can pull some out of the freezer and dip. Of course I go ahead and dip a few when I make them just to make sure they taste ok!

Ingredients
- Oreos, I used the GF Oreos to make these gluten free
- Cream Cheese
- White Chocolate or Almond Bark
- Sprinkles optional

Step by Step Instructions
- Add a whole package of Oreos and 1 block of cream cheese to a food processor. Pulse until its fully combined into a sticky batter. Note: If using gluten free Oreos you must use 1 1/2 packages since they have a smaller quantity.
- Using a 1 tbsp scoop place balls onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Once all are scooped on the tray then roll the balls in the palm of your hands until smooth. Place cookie sheet into freezer for at least 30 minutes.
- In a microwave safe bowl or a double boiler melt white chocolate chips or almond bark. The amount you use really depends but I would say you need at least 1 full bag of chocolate chips or about 2-3 cups.
- Remove Oreo balls from the freezer and dip them into the melted chocolate using a fork. Place them onto parchment paper to set. If using sprinkles or crushed Oreos to top then do that while the chocolate is still melted. Keep in refrigerator and enjoy!

Notes
These freeze so well. You can stop after you freeze them and throw them into a Ziploc bag. They last in the freezer for up to 3 months.
