Dubai Chocolate Puppy Chow
Puppy Chow is one of the most popular snacks out there and this Dubai Chocolate version takes it to a whole other level. This taste just like the viral Dubai Chocolate bar but gluten free for all my celiac’s out there!

When the Dubai Chocolate trend came out I was pumped about getting some to try. I quickly found out that it wasn’t gluten free and once again felt left out. I scoured the internet for gluten free dupe recipes and honestly was shocked to see that very few came up. Some substituted the Kanafeh for puffed quinoa or coconut, which are great ideas to try but I wanted something that felt familiar and knew would be amazing. (Especially when your spending $30 on 1 jar of pistachio cream, you don’t want to waste it)
I knew the only thing I needed to try and figure out was the crunch factor. I thought about corn flakes or rice Krispie’s, which I still will probably try. But I then thought of the timeless sweet treat we all know and love. This snack is so versatile and can be made with many different flavor combinations. I decided to just substitute peanut butter for pistachio cream and what came out was absolutely divine! I hope you give this a try and satisfy your curiosity about this trending food.

Tools You May Need
- Ziploc Bags
- Large Mixing Bowl
- Spatula
- Sifter
- Measuring Cups

Ingredients
- Chex Cereal
- Pistachio Cream
- Chocolate Chips or Chocolate Wafers
- Powdered Sugar
- Butter
- Vanilla



Step by Step Instructions
- In microwave safe bowl add chocolate chips, pistachio cream and butter. Microwave for 30 sec, stir and repeat until melted. Stir in vanilla.
- Pour over the Chex and stir. This isn’t as easy as it is with the peanut butter version. It doesn’t get as liquidy so it takes some careful stirring so you don’t crush all the cereal.
- Put mixture in Ziploc with powdered sugar and shake until coated.

Notes
- I recommend sifting your powdered sugar before adding to Ziploc bag ensuring it evenly coats the cereal but it is not necessary.
- You can mix this in the same bowl if you would like or if you are out of Gallon Ziploc bags. I do recommend using a Ziploc if possible because it is a huge time saver and less messy.
- The pistachio cream doesn’t thin out as easily as peanut butter so be sure and account for that when stirring. You will need to be extra careful not to break all the cereal when mixing.

- 3 oz chocolate chips
- 1tsp vanilla
- 3tbsp butter
- 1c powdered sugar
