Buffalo Chicken Dip
This Buffalo Chicken dip is a great appetizer and party favorite. This dip is hot and mildly spicy for a perfect chip and dip!
This is a go to party dip for its creamy and cheesy consistency. Buffalo and ranch is one of the best duos like peanut butter and jelly. Take that flavor combo and add lots and lots of melty cheese and you cant go wrong. This dip is amazing hot but I am not gonna lie and say I haven’t enjoyed this cold straight from the fridge. One reason I love this dip is you can just use what you have on hand and its perfect every time.
I love using Frank’s Red hot sauce but you can use buffalo wing sauce just the same. This dip is also perfect with so many different cheese combinations. I used pepper jack and cheddar here but I love using Monterey Jack, Colby jack or spice it us with a habanero cheese blend.
Tips and Tricks
- Use any cheese that you like, here are a few of my favorites. Cheddar, Mozzarella, Monterey Jack, Colby Jack, and Pepper Jack.
- Use the full fat cream cheese for this recipe. The 1/3 less fat cream cheese wont melt as well.
- When the dip come out drizzle a little extra ranch and hot sauce on top.
- You can use whatever chicken you have on hand. Rotisserie chicken is great to use if your in a hurry. Canned chicken is even easier since you don’t have to remove the chicken from the bone. You just dump and drain any excess liquid. I decided to use a quart of my home canned chicken breast and it turned out amazing. You can also boil or cook 2 chicken breast and shred them for the recipe.
- I add enough Frank’s Red hot sauce to give it wonderful flavor but it is not super spicy. You can easily add another 1/4 – 1/2 cup to the dip to make it nice and spicy.
